Buckle Up: The Crazy Ride Has Begun

I am a mom.  I am a mom to three under three.  How did that happen??  I can honestly say I never thought I would utter those words.  And I know I can only say that for another month, but after that I can say I'm a mom to three under four, and that doesn't really sound any less overwhelming.

I have a sweet (almost three year old) little boy who keeps me on my toes.  I also have (identical) twin girls that are five weeks old today.  The pregnancy wasn't a surprise, but finding out we were having twins at about 16 weeks sure was!  But that is a long story for another day.

Most importantly, I've been married to Andrew for a little over seven years.  We were high school sweethearts, but when he left for college a year before I did we broke up.  He quickly realized the error of his ways. :)  We would talk on and off for about a year, and then we saw each other a few time the following year as friends and then in May of 2002 we got back together.  We got married June 11, 2005 in Atlanta, GA.

Two weeks later we moved for the first time, to Baton Rouge, LA.  Three years later we moved to Chicago for a short (but WONDERFUL) 18 months.  Then we moved back to Baton Rouge, where we had Drew, and then a year ago we moved to Greenville, SC.  The moving hasn't always been easy, but it has given us so many amazing opportunities.  And even though Chicago was an amazing place to live, I think that I am the happiest here in Greenville.  Unfortunately, I know we won't be here forever, but I am going to enjoy it while we are here!

This is actually the fourth blog I've started.  Some of you may remember me from back in our Nest days.  I used the blog then after our first move because I was having a hard time adjusting, and the community was a great place for me to feel less alone.  Then we jumped to blogger for the first time, but I fell off the wagon.  I started back again after having Drew, but quickly became overwhelmed with everything and slowly dropped off and keeping up with his monthly updates just became too much.  This blog, at this point, is just going to be a place for me to share my stories and life taking care of my three kiddos and trying to stay sane.  My life right now is a crazy ride, I hope you'll ride some if it with me!
